Gov. Moore Pledges To Support Leaders Who Will “Push Back And Push Forward” To Lower Costs, Continue Record Drops In Crime, And Make Our Schools Even Stronger
Today, Governor Wes Moore announced another round of endorsements of leaders all across Maryland who are running to finish the job we started by pushing back and pushing forward to lower costs, continue record drops in crime, and make our schools even stronger. These endorsements follow the governor’s announcement last week of his support for red to blue candidates running in competitive districts across the state.
“We have delivered enormous progress for the people of Maryland since taking office, but there is still more work to do, and these are the leaders who will help us finish the job,” said Governor Wes Moore. “In order to continue record drops in violent crime, keep lowering costs for Maryland families, and make our schools even stronger I need a team that will push back against Washington and push forward to build a Maryland that leaves no one behind. Together we will work day and night alongside one another to continue the progress we’ve seen throughout Maryland.”
“I am proud to have the support of Governor Wes Moore as I run for re-election. Together, we’ve been working as Team Maryland to stand up to Trump, fight to halt the ICE detention center in Washington County, and deliver for our communities in the 6th Districts,” said Congresswoman April McClain Delaney. “When floods hit Westernport, we fought to get families the help they needed and made sure they weren’t left behind. Governor Moore leads by showing up and getting results and together, we’ll keep moving Maryland forward.”
“I am excited to continue working alongside Governor Wes Moore to address the challenges facing Maryland families and to advance bold, thoughtful solutions for our state,” said Speaker Joseline Peña-Melnyk. “We have worked to expand access to healthcare, lower costs for working families, and make meaningful investments in our communities. Together, we will meet the challenges ahead and continue building a stronger future for all Marylanders.”
“Governor Wes Moore has been an incredible partner for Frederick County, delivering real results on top priorities like US-15 and school construction,” said Frederick County Executive Jessica Fitzwater. “I’m honored to have his support and look forward to continuing to work with him to make Frederick County a place where everyone can live, work, and thrive.”
“I want to thank Governor Moore for his endorsement of our campaign,” said Delegate Vanessa Atterbeary. “Howard County needs a bold and proven fighter who is ready to meet this moment. Governor Moore knows that he will have a partner in Howard County so that, together, we can best serve and invest in Howard County residents and protect our county from the Trump Administration.”
“I want to thank Governor Wes Moore for his support and his leadership. His commitment to public safety over the last four years has been a blessing to my prosecutors as well as to the citizens of Baltimore City,” said Baltimore City State’s Attorney Ivan Bates. “When my office needed additional funding for our body-worn camera unit, it was Governor Moore who quickly stepped up to provide those necessary resources, which has gone a long way in helping ease the burden for my prosecutors to successfully prosecute more cases. Our partnership is built on a shared commitment to public safety, accountability, and community trust. By working together, we are delivering coordinated leadership focused on reducing violence, supporting victims, and making our neighborhoods safer for every Baltimore family. I proudly endorse this public safety partnership because it brings together experienced leadership, proven results, and a united approach to keeping Baltimore safe. Together, we are building stronger neighborhoods through accountability, prevention, and collaboration. And I urge the voters to give us four more years to continue building on the success that has led to historic lows in violent crime here in Baltimore.
“I am deeply grateful for Governor Wes Moore’s support–together we will continue delivering meaningful results for the people of Maryland through strong partnership and shared purpose,” said Senator Ron Watson. “Our partnership reflects a shared commitment to progress and I’m excited about what we accomplish together for Maryland.”
“As a fellow Army veteran, I know the kind of leader Governor Wes Moore is and how deeply committed he is to service,” said Delegate Nick Allen. “I’ve seen firsthand how he puts that experience and leadership to work, delivering real results for Maryland. I’m proud to have his endorsement as I run for reelection.”
“I’m grateful to receive Governor Wes Moore’s endorsement, and am excited to work with him over the next few months to keep earning the trust of Maryland voters — and to help elect Maryland Democrats up and down the ballot,” said Delegate Joe Vogel. “I’ve been proud to work with our Governor and his team over the last four years to lower costs for our families, fight back against the Trump administration, take on corporate greed, fully fund our public schools, and build a stronger Maryland economy. I’m ready to keep fighting by his side for another four years.”
“Governor Wes Moore has shown what it means to lead with purpose and bring people together. I’m grateful for his endorsement, and I’ll carry that spirit of service with me as I work to deliver for Montgomery County,” said Gaithersburg Mayor Jud Ashman. “Together, we share a commitment to growing opportunity, strengthening our communities, and delivering results—and that’s exactly how I’ll serve on the County Council.”
“I’m honored to have Governor Moore’s support here in Wicomico County Council District 7,” said Megan Outten, Candidate for Wicomico County Council District 7. “I’m ready to work alongside him and this community to build opportunity here in Wicomico and make sure our residents have a strong voice at every table where decisions are being made.”

Since taking office, Governor Moore has cut taxes for the middle class, brought Maryland’s unemployment rate to a record low, and made communities across the state safer. The Governor knows there is still work to do, and it’s why he is running for re-election to continue his mission of building a Maryland that leaves no one behind. Earlier this year, Governor Wes Moore announced his 2026 reelection campaign in Maryland, pledging to continue his promise to use bipartisan solutions to build a Maryland where no one is left behind–even amidst the dysfunction and chaos coming out of Washington. The governor will continue to monitor and evaluate races across the state while working with leaders across the state to lower costs, continue record drops in crime, and make our schools even stronger.
In January, Moore-Miller for Maryland announced a record-breaking fundraising year of $7 million–the most ever raised in an off year in Maryland, and entered the new year with a staggering $8 million cash-on-hand. So far this year, the campaign has also received endorsements from the Maryland League of Conservation Voters, the Maryland REALTORS®, Maryland International Association of Fire Fighters, Maryland’s largest union, the Maryland State Education Association, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 500, as well as Democrats and Republicans from across the state.
