Maryland League Of Conservation Voters Endorse Governor Wes Moore

Today, the Maryland League of Conservation Voters announced they have endorsed Governor Wes Moore as he seeks reelection in 2026.

“I’m honored to have the endorsement of the Maryland League of Conservation Voters as we continue the work to protect Maryland’s precious natural resources,” said Governor Wes Moore. “In the past three years, we’ve taken bold action alongside the MLCV to pass the Chesapeake Bay Legacy Act, secure a $340 million agreement for improvements to the Conowingo Dam, and put hundreds of millions in funding towards projects to reduce pollution, boost clean energy options, and clean our waterways. So much of Maryland’s economy is dependent on clean water and air, our beautiful tourist destinations, and the health of the Chesapeake Bay which is why we must continue to work together to protect Maryland’s environment for the generations to come.”

“Governor Moore has been a champion for our state’s environment, which is especially critical at a time when the federal government has stepped back from its commitments,” said Kim Coble, Executive Director, Maryland League of Conservation Voters. “The Governor is committed to a healthier Maryland while also striving to reduce ratepayers’ soaring energy bills.”

“Maryland LCV was proud to be among the first organizations to endorse Governor Moore in 2022,”  said Patrick Miller, Board Chair, Maryland League of Conservation Voters. “We are looking forward to partnering with him over the next four years to deliver cleaner water, healthier air, and climate resilience for all Marylanders.”

Throughout his time in office, Gov. Moore has been a champion for Maryland’s environment—protecting our waterways, advancing clean energy options, and making environmental funding a priority in his administration. He passed the Chesapeake Bay Legacy Act to improve water quality, support sustainable farming, and boost oyster restoration. He also secured an historic $340 million agreement to fund and implement operational improvements and environmental projects at the Conowingo Dam. Alongside legislation and these historic agreements he has also led the charge to put necessary funding across the state to protect and strengthen the future of Maryland’s environment.

The Maryland League of Conservation Voters join the Maryland REALTORS®, Maryland International Association of Fire Fighters, Maryland’s largest union, the Maryland State Education Association, Service Employees International Union (SEIU) Local 500, as well as Democrats and Republicans from across the state in endorsing Governor Moore’s reelection campaign.
