Wes Moore for Maryland Governor campaign opens Anne Arundel County field office

Elected leaders, volunteers, and supporters join Moore as he opens third county field office

Moore’s unprecedented momentum translates into robust and rapidly growing operation across the state

GLEN BURNIE, MDM.d. (March 28, 2022) – Democratic candidate for Governor Wes Moore and his running mate, former Del. Aruna Miller, opened an Anne Arundel County field office with County Executive Steuart Pittman in Glen Burnie on Sunday, March 27. Elected officials, community leaders, and grassroots supporters joined Moore, Miller and Pittman to celebrate the opening of the office. Dozens of volunteers joined in canvassing nearby neighborhoods following the event.

The Anne Arundel county office is the third field office the Moore-Miller campaign has launched, following the opening of a Baltimore field office and a Prince George’s county field office, signaling the strength of Moore’s grassroots support and his unprecedented momentum in the race for Governor.

“I am grateful for County Executive Pittman’s partnership because he understands that in order for us to accomplish big things for everybody within the county, it means that everybody in the county must be heard, everyone must be respected and everyone must have a seat at the table,” said Wes Moore. “I’m honored to knock doors with him over the next eight months, and I look forward to making great things happen for Anne Arundel County and for the state of Maryland over the next eight years.”

Anne Arundel County Executive Steuart Pittman, an early endorser of Moore and the first sitting County Executive to support a candidate in the race for Governor, shared remarks at the event.

“I endorsed Wes Moore’s campaign early because I believe he will win,” said County Executive Steuart Pittman. “I recognized that he had the talent to win and the moment was right, but I also felt in my heart that it was the right thing to do.”
