‘Our first responders have always been there for us, and it’s high time we’re there for them,’ says Moore

BALTIMORE (Sept. 7, 2022) – This week, the Maryland International Association of Fire Fighters, endorsed Wes Moore in the 2022 Maryland Gubernatorial Election.

“We look forward to working with Wes Moore and his team to advance the best interests of our members health, safety, and working conditions,” said Jeff Buddle, President of the Professional Fire Fighters of Maryland. “Wes understands the importance of a strong and successful public safety agenda that includes state-level support of fire, rescue, and emergency medical services personnel. We are proud to be on his team.”

“Our first responders have always been there for us, and it’s high time we’re there for them,” said Wes Moore. “I’m in this race to put more money back in the pockets of working people, and I’m proud to have the Maryland International Association of Fire Fighters join me on that mission. If elected, I’ll get up every morning and fight for working families by raising the minimum wage, ensuring every worker has access to critical benefits like paid sick, family and medical leave, and strengthening State Collective Bargaining agreements.”

Maryland International Association of Fire Fighters joins the Baltimore Fire Officers Union Local 964, Ironworkers Local 5, Service Employees International Union Local 500, and the Maryland Federation of Police in endorsing Wes Moore in the 2022 Maryland Gubernatorial Election. Wes’ bold mission to leave no one behind by supporting working families and the organizations that lift them up continues to earn plaudits and support from everyday Marylanders and labor leaders across the state.
