This week, Governor Moore’s approval rating rose to 56%, he announced 250 new jobs in Prince George’s County, Maryland hit nearly all of its Chesapeake Restoration Goals, and Maryland leaders praised Gov. Moore for delivering real results.
Gov. Moore’s Approval Rises To 56%
A new statewide poll shows Gov. Wes Moore’s job approval rating has climbed to 56% as he heads into the final stretch of the gubernatorial campaign.
The Maryland Now poll, conducted by Blended Public Affairs in partnership with Perry Jacobson, found 56% of respondents approve of the job Gov. Moore is doing, while 39% disapprove — a net approval of +17. The poll notes that this is an increase from July 2025, when the same question produced a net approval of +8.
The survey also found that if the election were held today, 58% of respondents said they would vote for Moore, compared with 31% who said they would vote for Republican challenger Dan Cox — a 27-point lead.
Governor Wes Moore announces expansion of AI platform, adding 250 new jobs to Maryland
Maryland Governor Wes Moore announced the creation of 250 new jobs in the state on Wednesday after Cloudforce selected Maryland for an AI platform extension.
The Maryland Department of Commerce says that the AI platform, Cloudforce, will expand its headquarters location in Prince George’s County. This allows for the addition of 250 new jobs, as well as keeping over 130 employees over the next five years.
State leaders shared that the company selected Maryland after an analysis was done on potential expansion sites across the DC-Metro region. This allows Cloudforce to nearly double its current headquarters office space by leasing 15,000 square feet of office space.
“Cloudforce’s expansion and continued commitment to Maryland is a win for our state’s workers, students, and our future,” says Gov. Moore. “Our administration is making historic investments to support partnerships with world class leaders like Cloudforce and building pathways to work, wages, and wealth, so that Maryland communities have a leg up in this rapidly evolving economy.”
Maryland Hits Nearly All Of Its Chesapeake Restoration Goals
Maryland has met or nearly met several major Chesapeake Bay pollution reduction targets, according to Gov. Wes Moore. From 2009 to 2025, the state achieved 100% of its sediment and phosphorus reduction goals and 99% of its nitrogen goal. Maryland will continue working toward existing targets through 2030 before shifting to new goals for 2040.

And when it comes to the match up with Dan Cox, honestly, it’s a rematch right, it’s a rematch with Dan Cox, and I think I said back in 2022, with the initial match, I said something along the lines of “Governor Moore is someone who served his country and served his community, and Dan Cox is someone who served Donald Trump.”
