Gov. Moore Slammed Donald Trump For Profiting Off Of The Presidency

Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) on Sunday said there “is something wrong” with President Trump making $1 billion in cryptocurrency.

“I do have an issue with some of the ways that we’ve now seen how we deal with cryptocurrency,” Moore said on “Fox News Sunday” with host Shannon Bream. “The President of the United States has made more money on crypto than crypto companies in the past year.”

“Like, there is something fundamentally wrong that has to be fixed with both the executive and the legislative branch when it comes to blame,” Moore added.

The president’s personal financial disclosures released on Tuesday revealed that he raked in over $500 million from World Liberty Financial, which he co-founded with his sons Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. They launched the venture in fall 2024 as the then-former president embraced the crypto industry as part of his third presidential campaign.

Another Local Farmer Praised Gov. Moore’s Work To Support Local Agriculture

National economic challenges are already making life more expensive for everyone. This cold snap has hit us while we’re down.

Annapolis and Washington, D.C., are, thankfully, lending a hand. Gov. Wes Moore requested a disaster declaration from the USDA, which was quickly honored. Vineyard owners can now access emergency relief. And I encourage my peers to see if they’re eligible for aid.

Knowing the governor and the USDA have worked together to make sure we’re seen means the world. But this crisis cannot be answered by the government alone. If you’re reading this, my call is simple: Buy local.

If you have the time and resources, skip the supermarket and support a Maryland farmer. We have a long road to recovery. The backing of regular Marylanders will be what saves us.
