ANNAPOLIS, MD – This past week, Governor Wes Moore announced more new jobs coming to Maryland in Howard County, The Grio called him a “key figure for mobilizing Black voters,” he directed $250,000 in aid to veterans affected by the shutdown, and he spent Veterans Day with ROTC cadets from Johns Hopkins University.

Moore New Jobs In Maryland 

This week, Governor Moore announced Feast & Fettle will be bringing 250 new jobs to Maryland through a new production and distribution facility opening in Howard County. This follows the announcement just last week of another 125 jobs coming to Frederick through a New Bakery de France manufacturing Facility.

The Grio called Governor Wes Moore one of the Democratic Party’s “key figures for mobilizing Black voters”  and “one of the nation’s top Democrats taking on President Trump.”

Gov. Moore Directs $250K In Aid To Veterans

At an event on Veterans Day, Governor Wes Moore announced $250,000 in funding directed to veterans to provide aid for rent, groceries, and household stability for those affected by the federal government shutdown.

Gov. Moore spends Veterans Day with Johns Hopkins University ROTC Cadets 

Governor Wes Moore traveled to his alma mater Johns Hopkins University on Veterans Day to share his stories of how his military service shaped his life with ROTC cadets.
“These are folks who, moments after leaving graduation are going to be putting on uniforms and protecting not just the hopes of this country, but the safety of this country, so I just wanted to say thank you to them for all the work they’re prepared to do on behalf of all of us,” said Governor Wes Moore.
