Wes Moore for Maryland Governor Campaign announces Mary Tydings as Treasurer

Tydings, of Easton, brings decades of experience and deep connections to Maryland politics to the campaign 

EASTON, Md  (Dec. 21, 2021) – The Wes Moore for Maryland Governor campaign has announced that effective immediately, Mary Tydings will serve as the campaign’s treasurer. 

“I’ve been around Maryland politics my entire life, and I know Wes Moore presents a once-in-a generation opportunity to govern inclusively and change the trajectories of families across this state,” Tydings said. “I am honored to serve as campaign treasurer, and excited to join Wes in making increased work, wages, and wealth a reality for Maryland’s families.”

Tydings, the daughter of the late Sen. Joseph Tydings, has been active in Maryland politics for her entire life, especially in the Eastern Shore. For 36 years, she worked at a leading executive search firm, rising to lead the firm’s social impact recruiting efforts. 

“I’ve seen Mary Tydings in action on the Eastern Shore,” Wes Moore said. “She is a deeply experienced leader in Maryland politics and an incredible addition to our team, and I am grateful to have her as our campaign treasurer.”
